eToro Tutorial
Demo account
Creating an account on eToro requires you to enter a valid email address, as you need to confirm the return message to activate it. In addition, you must accept the company’s rules and cookie policy.
The entire registration to use the demo account takes about a minute.
By default, after the first login we are in real mode, i.e. real cash, to switch to the demo account, just select the “virtual wallet” option. If we are going to start investing real money, we stay in the “real wallet” mode, but in order to make the first payment to your broker account, we must first verify our identity.
The next step is to complete a survey that will determine our trading experience and determine the maximum financial leverage with which we can invest. After completing the account verification, we have the opportunity to apply for an increase in the maximum lift for our account, but please note that the higher the leverage, the greater the risk of losing capital invested.
The next stage is a “test of knowledge” about complex derivatives, leveraging capital investment and general CFD trading experience. Beginner investors are advised to read the articles available on our website that explain these key issues in a simple way, as providing a few extremely incorrect answers may result in account registration failure. One of the requirements is to provide an active phone number, because we will receive a return SMS with a code that should be entered in the designated place. The most important element of verification is sending a photo of your ID card or passport. This is required by European law, it is a security designed to prevent financial fraud. Span> p>
The last point is to send a photo or scan of a document confirming our current address, e.g. invoice, bank statement (it can be in PDF format). After completing the last command, we can wait a few minutes or hours for our platform employee to verify our identity and activate the account.
If this platform does not meet your expectations or you have encountered serious difficulties when registering an account on the platform, we recommend checking the brokers ranking prepared by a team of our experienced investors. The ranking was created on the basis of our team’s many years of experience in trading CFDs, and based on detailed tests of each trading platform featured in it.
eToro is a multi-asset platform which offers both investing in stocks, as well as trading CFDs.
Please note that CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 51% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work, and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
Past performance is not an indication of future results. Trading history presented is less than 5 complete years and may not suffice as basis for investment decision.
Copy Trading does not amount to investment advice. The value of your investments may go up or down. Your capital is at risk.
